GENERAL DELIGHT

Top Ten Restaurants In Los Angeles

One of the things I miss about LA is the food. Here is a list of my favorites:

The Bazaar An innovative, theatrical and humorous dining experience.  Even though dinner is 15 courses, remember everything you consumed was either foam or gelatin, so the third bottle of wine is unnecessary.

Red Lion  This fantastic German restaurant has a bier garden and detailed Bavarian décor.  It is a truly authentic German dining experience- from the sausages, to the steins of beer, and then there are the waitresses filled with hate.

Intelligentsia (Specially from the hours of 9 AM- 5 PM) Not a restaurant per say by definitely a meat market.

Hacienda  The food is unexceptional and the margaritas come out of a fountain BUT my friend Lisa made out with the bus boy in the parking lot, which was pretty great.

RAGE  Eww, I would never eat here. It make me happy that they have a full service kitchen, though.

Balcony  Have you ever been handed the bill after dinner and next to all the Hite beer and Korean BBQ is a glass table for $200, but it kind of makes sense because your friend broke it while he was singing “Paradise City” while also dancing on it, which was right before he and his girlfriend got into a fist fight and then a couple of other friends started crying? Yeah, Balcony.

Fraiché Snob-y and uptight but they make a $14 cocktail out of vodka, crushed grapes, and essence of elderflower that will eat your butt.

Ethiopian Restaurant On Fairfax  I mean, just pick one.

Benito’s I once ate here three times in a day if that explains anything- Lunch, Dinner, and Drunk Dinner (4th meal?). They absolutely have the best tortillas in LA to wrap your feelings in.

Thai Patio Affordable prices with an unbeatable menu right in Little Thai Town.  Lesbians LOVE it.  So do the Lisa’s.  There is a Thai Ladyboy that plays covers of Top 40 hits with a traditional Thai harp. I have also barfed here. I often want to sleep with the clientele.  Awesome Pad Kee Maw. RUN DON’T WALK.

We’d love to hear your favorites!
